NJ.com reports that
Ray Davies' next album will be a bunch of new versions of
Kinks songs done as duets. He has a version of "Better Things" with
Bruce Springsteen in the can, and also a version of "Celluloid Heroes" with
Jon Bon Jovi. He's talking about recording other duets with
Lucinda Williams and
Metallica. It's just weird that it is coming on the heels of an album of choral versions of Kinks songs.
I'm not sure how I feel about that idea. I did buy Other People's Lives recently which I really like.
