THE ALLMAN BROTHERS TAKE MARCH MADNESS UPTOWN
I think some fans were wondering if The Allman Brothers Band would still do March Madness: last year's show were pretty incredible, with guests showing up every night (including Buddy Guy, the dudes from Los Lobos, Sheryl Crow and even Eric Clapton). Gregg Allman and Butch Trucks have been talking about slowing things down for the band, and not touring so much anymore. Well, today, they announced that they are returning to NYC for another March madness this year, but they are moving from The Beacon Theater to The United Palace, just a few blocks away from The George Washington Bridge. The press release does mention that their touring will be limited, but it's good to know that March Madness will live on in 2010. They have eight confirmed shows: March 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20. I bet they'll add more.
I cant wait to see Allman Brother Band in NYC this March
