9/11 MUSIC PART 3: BOB DYLAN'S "LOVE AND THEFT"

It was kind of bizarre how Bob Dylan's "Love And Theft" came out on 9/11. (Ever weirder: Slayer's God Hates Us All also was released that day).

For some reason, "Love And Theft" was one of the only albums I felt like listening to for weeks afterwards.  I think part of it was because of the song "High Water (For Charley Patton)," a song that evoked the floods and disasters that the old country blues songs used to document.

To me, the album is totally of its time, and at the same time, it's timeless. It is a classic in its own right, but also attached to that moment in time (for me, anyway).
