Yes, in the parlance of our times, Kanye West does play the damn fool sometimes. But he does make some great records. I've written about my first encounter with him: because of that, very little that I've read about him surprises me. I wasn't surprised he got arrested for fighting in an airport, but at least it was with a paparazzi. I can't believe there aren't stricter laws against them.I'm glad he's working on a new album though, it's always interesting to hear what he'll come up with next. He's one of the few youngish artists today that I'm interested in following.
