Alice In Chains has toured over the past few years with guitarist/leader Jerry Cantrell, drummer Sean Kinney and bassist Mike Inez along with singer/guitarist William DuVall.I'm a big AIC fan, but I didn't catch any of the shows. I just think that Layne Staley isn't really replaceable. I saw William DuVall in Jerry's solo band, and he was great. But seeing AIC - it would be like replacing Kurt Cobain in Nirvana. Now I hear the guys are going to do a new album. I'll be interested to hear it, but can you really have an Alice In Chains without Layne?

No! Layne cannot be replaced. He is the most underated vocalist of all time. You can't replace a legend!
