I'm not a huge Sammy Hagar fan, but I like him as a person. I'd interviewed him, and he's a really nice guy. He said, "Hey, man, if you're ever in Cabo, come down to the club!" and mentioned which bartender to ask for when I got there. But he may have been drinking a bit too much of his tequila. Apparently, he has a new band called Chickenfoot with his former Van Halen bandmate Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani and Red Hot Chili Pepper drummer Chad Smith. Which is fine. What's crazy is that (according to Brit site Metal Hammer) he said that the new band could rival Led Zeppelin. That's just crazy talk.
