Last night, Bruce Springsteen won his second Golden Globe Award: the first, of course, was for "Streets Of Philadelphia," this time it was for "The Wrestler."
The Golden Globes are sort of a joke (read more about it here) but at least this year they seemed to get it right. Wrestler star Mickey Rourke also won a Globe for Best Actor, while the great film Slumdog Millionaire won a bunch of awards, including best score, which I have to agree with. The music in that film was phenomonal, and I'm actually going to download the soundtrack from iTunes. With all due respect to Peter Gabriel's "Down To Earth" from Wall-E, here's hoping Bruce does as well at the Oscars.
