I've already written about the Virgin Megastore in Times Square closing. But there were supposed to have been a few Virgin Megastores staying open. Then, I heard that the Virgin in Union Square was closing down. Now it turns out that the entire chain is shutting down by the end of the summer. It's a bummer - big chain record stores can't compare to the cool factor of smaller stores (most of which have closed down by now), but it still is depressing. I guess from now on, I'm going with Newbury Comics, or Amazon.

THE END OF AN ERA
I've already written about the Virgin Megastore in Times Square closing. But there were supposed to have been a few Virgin Megastores staying open. Then, I heard that the Virgin in Union Square was closing down. Now it turns out that the entire chain is shutting down by the end of the summer. It's a bummer - big chain record stores can't compare to the cool factor of smaller stores (most of which have closed down by now), but it still is depressing. I guess from now on, I'm going with Newbury Comics, or Amazon.
